Since the release of Mac OS X El Capitan in 2015, the operating system’s menu bar has been hidden for the first time in its history. That functionality is still available in macOS Catalina as well. It is not clear why you might want to do that, but if you do, here’s how you can do it:
How to Hide Taskbar On Mac?
- Select the System Preferences button.
- Navigate to the General tab.
- Under the Appearance section of the new window, you will see a list of options under the top of the new tab.
- Additionally, to turn on or off dark menu bars and docks, there is also the option to “Automatically hide and show the menu bar.” Click on this box, and the menu bar will disappear. To see it again, you must move your mouse over the top of the screen with the arrow.
Show The Menu Bar
Don’t like it? Uncheck the “Automatically hide and show the menu bar” box to keep the menu bar visible at all times.
How Do I Hide the Taskbar On a Full-Screen Mac?
If you are using a Mac, you must click on the Apple icon and select System Preferences from the dropdown menu. You will see the Dock & Menu Bar icon in the preference pane.
You will need to select Dock & Menu Bar in the sidebar and then, under the heading “Menu Bar,” uncheck the box beside Automatically hide and show the menu bar in full screen to make the menu bar disappear.
